Healing and Deliverance

Why do we believe in deliverance?

It is simply because the Lord required us to set the captives free while carrying out the Great Commission.

Mark 16:15-18 He said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation. Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned. And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues; they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well."

Mt.10:1,7-8 And when He had called His twelve disciples to Him, He gave them power over unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease. 7 And as you go, preach, saying, ‘The kingdom of heaven is at hand.’ 8 Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out demons. Freely you have received, freely give.

Lk 9:1-2,6 Then He called His twelve disciples together and gave them power and authority over all demons, and to cure diseases. 2 He sent them to preach the kingdom of God and to heal the sick. 6 So they departed and went through the towns, preaching the gospel and healing everywhere.

The Seventy Disciples were given the same authority, power and ministry of preaching and healing.

Luke 10:1,9 After these things the Lord appointed seventy others also, and sent them two by two before His face into every city and place where He Himself was about to go... 9 And heal the sick there, and say to them, ‘The kingdom of God has come near to you.’… 19 Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

Mk. 16:16-18 All Disciples were given the authority, power and ministry of preaching and healing.

The Church was given the green light to heal in sick only in the name of Jesus Christ.

James 5:14-16 Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. 15 And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. 16 Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.

John 14:12: "I tell you the truth, anyone who has faith in me will do what I have been doing. He will do even greater things than these, because I go to the Father."

Human doctors take care of visible and curable diseases. Doctor Jesus, the Physician of physicians takes care of all cases –possible and impossible because of His omnipotence.

Devils are not diagnosed in medical labs, by the use of technology such as cast scans, x-rays, MRIs,… They are screened by the use of the name of Jesus Christ. You cannot treat a demons with tablets, pills, capsules, injections,…. You cannot stop them by locking the doors and gates of your residence or office. They do not need a key to open or a ladder to climb. They are evil spirits. They are not fictitious beings but they are real.

Have you been going through torments of whatever kind? Jesus is willing and ready to set you free “free of charge”.

You cannot serve the Lord while you are still bound in shackles. Therefore, the chains of bondage must be broken in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.

Enough is enough

Today is the day Jesus Christ has availed to trade your sorrow for the joy of the Lord. When you see, you will believe, Jesus’ miracles are mind blowing. Glory to His mighty name!

Prayer is the most powerful offensive and defensive weapon God has equipped His valiant soldiers with. I am alluding to the prayer of the righteous. It is a heavy weapon that gives goose bumps to the enemy and his agents. It shakes the gates of hell, weakens and neutralizes the power of the enemy. The devil knows that spiritual warfare is won or it is lost in prayer. Prayer is not limited by time or by space. It pulls down strongholds, breaks yokes, destroys curses, and reverses spells. It is a unbeatable supernatural dynamite that blows up roadblocks, moves and levels mountains, sets ablaze the enemy’s tents, flies open prison gates and breaks’ prisoners’ shackles. It releases heavenly angels for emergency intervention at a speed that is faster that the laser. It is the unique spiritual weapon that drives our enemy away from the battleground.
